For grooming and hygiene

 From the Linear B, we informed that the oil that was intended to use for personal cleanliness, was  very good quality and often flavored with herbs and aromatic plants. At a time when there was no soap or other materials  for personal hygiene, oil seems to play also,  a  sector role.

  
In body care they were using specially flavored oils and perfumes that were based on olive oil.

  
As far as it concerns, the hygiene of the body, perhaps, the Greeks are  the first to use olive oil for coating the muscles to keep them flexible. Athletes and people with higher social status used  the oil for the cleanliness of their body,and after applying it, evacuated with the help of "strigils, (a special tool), and along with it, the dust and sweat.
